Canton residence was flooded after fire broke out on the exterior of the home

SERVPRO of Canton responded to an emergency  request for restoration at a home in Canton, due to fire damage.  The Canton home experienced an exterior fire on the rear corner of the residence.  The fire department dowsed the area in water, saving the vast majority of the residence.

The family room, located near the fire source, was flooded with water; affected the exterior wall, wall cavity, insulation, and hardwood flooring.  

To facilitate drying of the structure materials, SERVPRO of Canton completed a flood cut on the affected drywall,  and removed the wet insulation behind the drywall. SERVPRO then tented the affected hardwood floor and wall cavities, and ducted a low grain dehumidifiers into these spaces to force air flow. By forcing warm dry air into the affected building materials, SERVPRO of Canton can restore the materials safely and cost effectively.
